I bought my first lottery ticket today. I got ID'd for what will be the first of many many many times. I can now drink in Quebec; but I really don't care to. I can see explicit/mature deviations if I wanted to (shock and horror!!). Now I can get into a lot more trouble if I mess with the law.
Hmmm... I had a good day, so far. I didn't have a party, but my family plus some close friends went out for lunch at a Greek restaurant where they had HUGE HUGE HUGE servings (I've had it for lunch AND dinner and I'm still not done - and I gave away some of my potatoes and salad). Then we went to a mall, which I've heard has a HUGE HUGE HUGE art store (I could've spent hours there, but didn't want to bore people). I bought a cute green shirt from 'Garage' and some inking pens and nibs... and an angled paintbrush from DeSerres. Then I had an strawberry icecream sundae.
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying summer vacation so far.
Haha, your quite welcome. My name's Brooke, and I can't seem to go through out a day without finding my name written Brook. I've never forgetten the e at the end, but my mom has before!

Elaine, I saw your amazing "Fall of the House of Usher" poster and it took my breath away! You are so very talented; I can only hope to achieve such abilities as you constantly demonstrate. You are truly one of the greatest artists I have had the pleasure of meeting. Keep up the great work! [link] Adoration
Yeah tell me about it, I had such a hard time trying to pour as much of my amazingness as I could on the ONE page questionaire. Really, you couldn't grasp much of anyones personality by reading it. Plus only 6 pieces including your sketch book! I just skipped that out in the end.
I looked into it and decided I don't want to go there. It amazes me how genius applications are; imagine making thousands off POTENTIAL students. Ah, they've earned my respect.
Ah well,I decided I'm going to OCAD after all. If I don't like it I can always change.
9-13 roomates?? Wow. I'm not sure if I could live with that many people... I'm a pretty solitary person.
Thanks so much for the advice... I'm relieved knowing that I'm not the only person in this position. I'm also thinkthat in the long run, it will be worth it going away.
Is York known for arts? I was kind of peeved that they charged me $40 to see my portfolio of 6 pieces, when everywhere else I applied to didn't charge me anything (besides that original fee of applying) when they saw 15-20 pieces. It's annoying.
Hey! Hmm this is somewhat random, but I've got the same dilema :'(
I've got into OCAD too, I'm planning on Studying Fine Art, but because I don't live there I have no idea which Univerities are best for studying art... I wish they ranked unis.
Really my choice is between York university and OCAD...
But you know, OCAD and Goldsmiths joined teams; studying aboard (especially in London) is great for Portfolios ;}
But hey, I think you should just go for it. Living with your rents is cheaper but it won't get you anywhere when it comes to life experience. Try out the "Starving Artist" life (or starving student..)
But ye knoe, I'm thinking of singing up for those Student rune Co-op apartments. It would probably be ideal for you, you'd have like 9-13 room mates and the houses are pretty big
